However, having cataracts is not the ultimate criterion to undergo this surgery. What happens during procedure
It is a small surgery that is performed on an outpatient basis. At first, the doctor would give you eye drops to dilate the pupil. You will also be given anesthesia to lessen the pain intensity of the procedure.
This surgery can be performed in two ways-
Phacoemulsification - It is a modern technique used most commonly for cataract surgeries. After the surgeon gives you anesthesia, he/she will make an incision in your cornea.
