Dr. Arun Behl

A Senior Consultant - Surgical Oncology in Fortis Hospital, Dr. Arun Behl has over 30 years of rich professional experience in performing the whole spectrum of Surgeries in Oncology involving the Head, Neck, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Breast, Thoracic and Soft tissue malignancies. Dr. Arun Behl has treated several patients suffering from different cancers diseases in India and gives every patient the best of medical care. Prior joining Fortis Healthcare, he worked with India’s premier medical institution The Armed Forces Medical College-Pune. After completing his training in Surgical Oncology at the Tata Memorial Hospital (1987-1991), Mumbai, Dr. Behl pioneered the Cancer Centre in the Indian Navy’s Premier Hospital, ASVINI at Mumbai. He remained as the Director of this Cancer Centre for over 12 years. Dr. Arun Behl has published several papers in India and abroad and is a member of prestigious medical associations. Trained in Surgical Oncology at the Tata Memorial Hospital (1987-1991), Mumbai, Dr Behl set out to establish a Cancer Centre in the Indian Navy’s Premier Hospital, ASVINI at Mumbai. This centre is today undoubtedly the pride of the Armed Forces. He was the Director of this Cancer Centre for over 12 years. In addition, he worked as a Professor and Head of Surgery and Chief Consultant Oncology to the Armed Forces for three years. In a career span of 23 years, Dr. Behl carried out more than 5000 surgeries. He was also the Post Graduate and Under Graduate teacher of Surgery in Pune University and a Post Graduate teacher of Surgery in Mumbai University for 12 years. He offered an exemplary service throughout his career and was also presented Vashisht Seva Medal by the President of India for Outstanding Services.
