Before starting the surgery, the doctor performs the physical examination of the patient and goes through his/her medical history. • Avoid nose blowing

Generally, patients can get back to work after five to six days of operations. The bandage will be removed after 2-3 weeks. The said doctor will perform a final checkup after four to six weeks to ensure the success of the surgery.

Every surgical procedure includes some risks and complications. Similarly, tympanoplasty also has the following risks:

• Pain, infection or bleeding

• Failure of the graft to heal

• Causing recurrent eardrum perforation

• Scarring or adhesions in the middle ear

• Narrowing of the ear canal
