Dr. Sumit Mrig is among the young achievers of Indian medical science. By performing more than 1,000 surgeries related to ENT, Dr. Mrig has positioned himself as a skilled practitioner in India, as well as globally. He has completed his medical schooling from University College of Medical Science and GTB Hospital, Delhi. Furthermore, Dr. Mrig pursued his MS (ENT) from Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital, Delhi. He is also a (DNB) Diplomat National Board, Delhi. Dr. Mrig as a dedicated ENT, Head and Neck Cancer Surgeon, has obtained his special Cochlear Implant Training under the mentorship of Prof.Mario Sana (Gruppo Otologica, Piacenza Italy) and Dr.Milind Kirtene (PD Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai). Under the guidance of Dr. Sumit Mrig, his medical team was the first and foremost panel to perform successful True Binaural Cochlear Implantation at Primus Hospital, Delhi. Later on, the team pioneered the Technique of Binaural Cochlear Implantation in India. The first Cochlear Surgery at Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur was also performed under his supervision. Additionally, he also specializes in BAHA implant surgery for deafness, routine Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgeries. In recent times, he has been awarded ‘Bharat Excellence Award’ for his contribution towards deafness across India. As a seasoned doctor, Dr. Mrig mentored many Cochlear Implant Surgeries as well as authored several national and international academic journals.
