Dr. Sanjiv Saigal is a well experienced and highly qualified Hepatologist. Presently, he holds a vast experience in coping with above 1500 liver transplants, counting both cadaveric and living donor liver transplants. He is presently working as Director of Transplant Hepatology, Institute of Digestive and Hepatobiliary Sciences. He completed his M.D. (Medicine) from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh in 1994. In 1996, he did DNB (Medicine) from the National Board of Examinations, Govt. of India, New Delhi. In the year 1998, Dr. Sanjiv Saigal pursued D.M. (Gastroenterology) from G. B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi. He has received numerous awards including the Calcutta University Gold Medal, National Pfizer award, INLAKS Fellowship in liver transplantation at King’s College Hospital, London etc. He is a member of Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), Edinburgh, United Kingdom and Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MAMS), New Delhi and CCST (Gastroenterology) Royal College of Gastroenterology, United Kingdom. Presently, he is rendering his extraordinary services at Medanta Institute of Digestive & Hepatobiliary Sciences. Dr. Sanjiv Saigal’s holds immense expertise in areas such as Liver Transplantation or what is known as Transplant Hepatology in the medical field. Some of the other fields include severe Liver malfunction, Viral Hepatitis, Alcoholic Liver Disease, Liver Cancer and Drug provoked Liver infection. Dr. Saigal has more than 130 presentations in state and global forums to his recognition along with several publications.
