Dr. Niren Dongre practices at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital as a Consultant in Ophthalmology and performed more than 2500 Retinal Laser procedures and more than 500 complex retinal surgical procedures in the past 7 years at Kokilaben Hospital.

Dr. Niren Dongre specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retina and vitreous disease and has done observerships in Vitreoretinal at the leading eye hospitals in the USA, such as Wills Eye, Philadelphia and Robert Wood Johnson, New Jersey. His skills are particularly recognized in the treatment of retinal detachment surgeries, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. He is the National Board Certified and Fellowship trained from the world renowned Sankara Nethralaya.

Dr. Dongre has also served as a Vitreo-Retinal Consultant at Sankara Nethralaya for three years till the year 2003. He has presented at various professional meets and has also contributed in training other ophthalmic surgeons. Over the past 11 years, he has performed more than 2000 major Vitreo-retinal surgeries and more than 5000 retinal laser procedures.
