Dr. Joseph Thachil

Dr. Joseph Thachil is a Senior Consultant - Urology in Apollo Hospitals, Greams Lane, Chennai. He is a highly qualified doctor holding degrees in MBBS from Dr. M G R Medical University, Tamil Nadu in 1970, MCh in Urology from Dr. M G R Medical University, Tamil Nadu in 1975, Fellowship in Urology from The Royal College of Surgeons. Dr. Joseph Thachil also holds membership of the Society of India Urological Association, Canadian Urological Association and American Urological Association. He has been credited with several awards and achievements. Dr. Thachil performed the first KOCK's Pouch Continent Urinary Diversion in Canada along with the first cadaveric renal transplant in the country, following which he was awarded the Godern - Richard's Fellowship of Canada.  And, he has performed the largest number of Renal Transplants in the Country. Dr.Joseph Thachil's expertise lies in the area of general urology, renal transplantation, pediatric urology and urologic oncology. He has also authored and published numerous research papers and articles in various journals.
