With years of experience in his field, Dr. Gautam Zaveri is one of the foremost spine surgeons in our country. There are very few surgeons in India who are trained in both orthopaedic and neurosurgery of the spine. He is one of them. He has performed around 2500 spine surgeries for reasons such as slipped disc, sciatica, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, myelopathy, spinal fractures, tuberculosis and tumours, scoliosis and kyphosis. After completing his training from India, Dr. Gautam Zaveri visited USA for extensive training in multiple aspects of spine surgery. He also visited Canada and UK for the training. He started practising from March 2002 in Mumbai as a Consulting Spine Surgeon. He specialises in microsurgery, endoscopic spinal surgery and major reconstructive spinal surgery. Dr. Gautam Zaveri is the one who developed a comprehensive non-operative treatment programme for spinal disorders. Many scientific papers are published and presented by Dr. Zaveri. Also, he has written chapters in textbooks of spine surgery. Dr. Gautam Zaveri has been nominated for The International Spine Fellow by the International Society for Study of the Lumbar Spine at Adelaide in 2000. He was also nominated as The best Asia- Pacific Spine Faculty by the AOSpine International at Davos in 2006.
