D Raja Reddy is a Senior Consultant - Neurosurgery at Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. He completed MBBS from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad in 1962 and then went on to become a Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.,) and a Fellow of Royal Australian College of Surgeons (F.R.A.C.S.). He served as a Director of Nizam Institute Medical Sciences (NIMS) and is presently a senior consultant at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. Dr. Raja was awarded Rajiv Ratna National Award for Medicine in 1993, Award of Honor by American Telugu Association for Medicine at Chicago in 2004 and Lifetime Achievement Award by Neurological Society of India, December 2015. Dr. Raja is a member of Indian Surgical & Neurological Societies, American Association of Neurological Surgery, International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery and International College of Surgeons. In 2010 he co-authored the book Endemic skeletal fluorosis which examines the problem of endemic fluorosis in India.
