Dr. Anil Bhan is a very respected and designated dividual in the field of cardiac surgery. Over a span of 30 years, he has enriched the largest experience in Aortic surgery in India. Dr. Bhan is the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Cardiac Surgery and Heart Institute at Medanta Hospital Gurgaon. Dr. Anil Bhan has successfully designed and developed more than 50 surgical instruments in the field of cardiac surgery. He was part of the team which conducted the first heart transplant in India back in 1994. The list of his accomplishments also includes the success of more than 15000 cardiac and vascular surgeries. He has performed the youngest bypass in the world literature with coronary aneurysm repair. Dr. Bhan is one of the most celebrated cardiac surgeons. He has also started three cardiac surgical programs at Puttaparthi (1992), Whitefield (2001) and Max Heart and Vascular Institute (2004). His stronghold in academics is shown by his win of ‘Best Outgoing Graduate Gold Medal’ from Medical College, Srinagar. He has also been awarded the Life Time Achievement Award.

Very good doctor and pediatric cardiovascular surgeon. We had taken our 4 year old son for treatment of hole in heart. He was very comfortable with my son and also talked to us very nicely. He explained the septal defect condition to us very well and was able to make us understand the reasons for the surgery. Although he is a busy doctor and patients have a long waiting time, Dr Anil Bhan gives enough time to each. We also got surgery done at Medanta Hospital. I would definitely recommend him.
