What can a fever indicate if no other symptoms are present, such as in a toddler versus in an adult? If the affected person seems otherwise normal, could a worse illness be approaching?

As I understand it a fever is a normal reaction to an infection. It seems that many of the “bugs” people get, don’t do well at higher than what a human is normal temperature. It makes a little bit of sense, but now since we combat bugs with other means, the fever is considered an indication rather than result.
Cholera is an acute diarrheal illness caused by infection of the intestine with Vibrio cholerae bacteria. People can get sick when they swallow food or water contaminated with cholera bacteria. The infection is often mild or without symptoms, but can sometimes be severe and life-threatening.
Monkey Pox Fatality: Monkeypox is rarely fatal, as the symptoms of Monkeypox are mild. It might be fatal for small children, pregnant ladies or people who have immune sickness. The symptoms are similar to that of smallpox but mild lasting from 2-3 weeks. The fatality ratio is 3-6 % right now.
